[COTD] Chrono Tigar

Well, this is a name that’s hard to put into English. So let’s roll with what the subbers used!

AUTO R: [CB1, put this unit into your soul] During your turn, when your opponent’s rear-guard is put into the deck, if you have a vanguard with “Chronofang” in its card name, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose 1 face-up card in your bind zone, call it to R, and it gets Power +4000 until end of turn.

The reason this name is tricky to translate is because of phonetic stuff: the katana here are tigaa, which is basically “teeger”. Further confusing things is that the “Tiger” in the Spike Brothers card Tiger Centurion is tiigaa, which is like “teeeeeger”. So just remember that this card is a tiger but not.

For Today’s card, we’re introducing two cards in one swoop! First we’re introducing “Seven Seas Plunderer, Nightspinel” from “Absolute Judgment” on sale tomorrow! (“Flying Get”, i.e. Getting it early is strictly forbidden!)! It’s a Grade 2 Unit with “Seven Seas” in its name, and “Seven Seas” is currently known as one of the powerful 《Granblue》 Deck.

It gains 2000 Power when a “Seven Seas” ally is Called from the Drop Zone!

You can easily increase its power instantly using “Seven Seas Helmsman, Nightcrow” to Resurrection Call multiple times at once, but you can also aim for a powerful attack by using it with Seven Seas Master Swordsman, Slash Shade” who can Resurrection Call during Battle. Also, since this card has an ability to Resurrection Call itself at the cost of a “Seven Seas” from your hand, it can place key cards like “Nightcrow” in your Drop Zone to set up for later. Since this card lets you attack with high Power early on, use it to set up swift attacks!

And the other is “Chrono Tigar” from “Gears of Fate” on sale September 30th! It’s a First Vanguard choice whose ability shows its use in “Chronofang Tiger” centric Decks.

When an opponent’s Rearguard is placed in the Deck, you can place this card in the Soul to Call 1 ally from the Bind Zone and grant it 4000 Power! If you combine it with “Interdimensional Dragon, Bind Time Dragon” who returns opponents to the Deck when it attacks, you use its ability to immediately bring back an ally who was Bound by Bind TIme’s ability and power it up!

Like “Casuality Dragon” who we introduced two days ago, who supports “Chronojet” and “Gear Peacock of Fleeting Change” (introduced yesterday) who supports “Chronoscommand”, today’s card supports “Chronofang”! “Gears of Fate” contains many cards which bring new options for 《Gear Chronicle》 Decks.
