[COTD] Steam Hunter, Emenbala & Steam Maiden, Muti
Steampunk cat people on tonight’s COTD menu.
Steam Hunter, Emenbala
“But I don’t remember saying anything about attacking head on?”
Gear Chronicle – Gearoid
ACT [Bind zone] GB1: [CB1] If you have a vanguard with “Chronofang” in its card name, call this unit to R. Then, you may choose 1 of your opponent’s rear-guards. If you do, your opponent returns that unit to the deck, shuffles the deck, searches the deck for up to 1 card with the returned card’s grade – 1, calls it to R, and shuffles the deck. (If there is not a unit the opponent wants to call, they may treat it as not having found a card to call instead)
Steam Maiden, Muti
“A coward borrowing the might of a tiger? I won’t let people get away with such insults!”
Gear Chronicle – Gearoid
AUTO [R]: [SB1, choose 1 card from your bind zone, and put it into your drop zone] When this unit boosts a unit with “Chronofang” in its card name, you may pay the cost. If you do, the boosted unit gets Power +3000 until end of battle.
And Now For A Word From The Vanguard R&D Department!!
Today we’re introducing 2 different cards! They’re the units “Steam Hunter, Emenbala” and “Steam Maiden, Muti” who both play a major role in Decks centered around “Chronofang”!
In “Chronofang” centric Decks, there are many cards with abilities and costs that place cards in the Bind Zone. You start things by Binding Cards with the 【Time Leap】 ability, but the trickiness involved is part of the Deck’s charm.
“Steam Hunter, Emenbala” is a Unit of the same system as “Steam Knight, Mudar”, in that it can place itself on the field from the Bind one. If this card is in your Bind Zone and you’ve at least reached Generation Break 1, you can Call it by Counter Blasting 1 Card, and weaking one of your opponent’s Rearguards!
For example, if you aim at a Grade 0 First Vanguard, it basically serves as outright removal. By binding this card with the ability of “Chronofang Tiger”, you can have it appear when you need it! It’s an excellent support Unit you’ll want to place in the Bind Zone for an ambush.
“Steam Maiden, Muti” is a “Chronofang” exclusive 10000 Power Booster! When it boosts a Rearguard “Chronofang Tiger”, the total Power becomes 21000. Its standard Power is of course 7000, but its cost is rather light, making it easy to use. After “Chronotiger Rebellion” is boosted when your Bind Zone is an odd number, making sure you can make good use of its increased Criticals!
