[COTD] Notes for September 30th, 2016
The biggest thing worth noting is that next week’s News Bits will be looking into the new ability Nitou Kaigan.
Today the Clan Booster “Gears of Fate” and the Trial Deck “True Zodiac Time Beasts” go on sale! Today’s cards are the SGR version of “Deus ex Machina, Demiurge” and the reprint of “Chronodragon Nextage”!
The biggest point of “Gears of Fate” & “True Zodiac Time Beasts” is they contain cards that strengthen not only your pre-existing Decks, but cards that allow you to build new kinds of Decks as well! There are many cards inside that immediately strengthen the ever popular Chronojet Deck, so be sure to check them out. It’s also worth checking out key cards for “Chronofang”, “Chronoscommand” and “Legion” Decks.
Furthermore, pay attention to the cards reprinted in this set. Of course there’s “Chronodragon Nextage”, but cards like “Tick-away Dragon” have also been reprinted! Get them this time around and fight with 《Gear Chronicle》!!! “Deus ex Machina, Demiurge” strengthens itself every time a new 《Zodiac Time Beast》 is released, so be sure to get your hands on it now so you don’t miss your chance to use it.
And today we’re also introducing two cards from the 2nd Title Booster “Touken Ranbu -ONLINE- 2”: “Yamatonokami Yasusada Toku” and “Kashuu Kiyomitsu Toku”.
“Yamatonokami Yasusada Toku” allows you to pay 1 Counter Blast once you’ve achieved 【Shinken Hissatsu （It can be activated when your Damage is 3 or more）】, allowing its Power to jump to a solid 12000. So you can expect it to be an excellent attacker. And, the Homare ability (which is when an Attack Hits an opponent’s Vanguard, Once per turn, one Unit can use it) allows you to Counter Charge, meaning you can basically cancel out the cost you just paid. Also note it has no Generation Break, meaning it’s a card you can use even early on!
“Kashuu Kiyomitsu Toku” has the new ability 【Nitou Kaigan】. 【Nitou Kaigan】 is an ability possessed by cards of the 〈Touken Danshi – Uchigatana〉 Race, and specifically activates when it’s Boosted by a 〈Touken Danshi – Wakizashi〉. At the end of a battle when this card is boosted by a 〈Touken Danshi – Wakizashi〉, you can pay the Cost to Stand this card and grant it 4000 Power. With a Critical Trigger, you can raise the Criticals of “Kashuu Kiyomitsu Toku”, allowing you to apply incredible pressure on your opponent! After its effect, its Power is 11000, meaning it’s good to go when you set up an attack!!
