And Now For A Word From The Vanguard R&D Department!!

For today’s card, we’re introducing “Dragheart, Luard” of the 《Shadow Paladin》, included in the Trial Deck “Ritual of Dragon Sorcery” (on sale November 11th, 2016).

Used in the anime by Shouji Kazuma, it’s an ability equipped with the new clan ability of 《Shadow Paladin》, 【Ritual】! 【Ritual】 is an ability that allows you to power up based on the number of Grade 1 cards in your Drop Zone. For example, Ritual 3 means you can activate the effect if there are 3 or more Grade 1 cards in your Drop Zone.

The Stride Skill of “Dragheart, Luard” allows you to retire an ally Rear-guard to Call 2 Grade 1 or lower Units. This is an incredibly powerful effects, but once you’ve reached Ritual 3, he powers up further! Upon achieving Ritual 3, during the start of the Ride Phase, you can return 2 Normal Units in your Drop Zone back to the Deck, allowing you to use its effect to Stride without paying the cost of Stride that turn.

So if you use up your hand the turn before, you’ll be able to launch a counterattack with Stide! It’s also good for returning your Perfect Guards and other such Units back to the Deck!

In order to quickly reaching Ritual 3, you should Retire 1 Rear-guard, Call “Black-winged Swordbreaker”, Soul Blast a Grade 1 Unit in your Soul, which should all but allow you to achieve the conditions. Aim to achieve 【Ritual】 as quickly as possible!

Also, the 9th Booster Pack, “Divine Dragon Caper” (on sale the same day, i.e. November 11th, 2016), includes cards that strengthen 【Ritual】. So, please await further information!
