[COTD] Knight of Flight, Danius & Escort Eagle
A Royal Paladin and his royal bird. I guess.
Knight of Flight, Danius
“A knight shouldn’t just cover himself in heavy armor.”
CONT [R]: During your turn, this unit gets Power +1000 for each of your other units with the Brave ability.
ACT [R] [1/Turn] GB1 Brave (Active when your hand has 3 or fewer cards): [CB1] Until end of turn, this unit gets Power +2000 and “AUTO [R]: At the end of your turn, you may choose 1 of your other rear-guards with the Brave ability, and return it to your hand.”
Escort Eagle
“In times of trouble, look to the skies. The blue hawk is a symbol of a brighter tomorrow.” (yes it says hawk)
CONT [G] GB1 Brave (Active when your hand has 3 or fewer cards): This unit gets Shield +5000.
CONT [V/R/G] Resist (Cannot be chosen with your opponent’s card effects)
And Now For a Word from Vanguard R&D!!
Today’s Cards of the Day are two cards with Royal Paladin’s clan ability, Brave! From Absolute Judgment, going on sale August 26 (Fri), it’s Knight of Flight, Danius and Escort Eagle!
Brave is an ability that becomes active when your hand is at 3 or lower. Because it leads to having fewer cards in hand to guard with, using it well requires technique and, as the name suggests, bravery. Alongside these gallant knights, aim to triumph over adversity!
Knight of Flight, Danius gains 1000 Power for each ally unit with Brave. Including the possibility of a vanguard with Brave, he can achieve a maximum boost of 5000. And if the conditions for Brave are met, he can raise his power further with his ACT ability! You can also bolster your defenses, as it lets you return a comrade to your hand at the end of the turn.
Escort Eagle is a Grade 2 who strengthens your guard with increased Shield when your hand is low enough to trigger Brave. It also has Resist, giving it an extra edge over your opponent’s removal and lock abilities. If you call it with units like Counteroffensive Knight, Suleiman or Starlight Violinist at the right moment, you can solidify your defenses for the next turn! When it seems like you’ll be going up against a lot of decks with removal abilities, having this card in your deck is reassuring.
